Use this site sensibly and it's all fine. The longer version, in plain English:

Information, not advice

Everything here is for general information. Home mining and buying hardware carry real costs and real risk, and nothing on this site is financial advice. The odds I publish make it plain that home mining almost never profits - treat any figure as a rough guide, do your own sums, and only spend what you're happy to spend on a hobby.

Accuracy

I work hard to keep specs, prices and numbers right, but hardware and the Bitcoin network both move fast. Prices are indicative, network figures are live but can lag, and I can't guarantee everything is current at the moment you read it. Always check the retailer's own page before buying.

Liability

Follow a guide at your own risk. Flashing a BIOS, taking a cooler apart or re-padding a card can damage hardware if it goes wrong. I share what worked for me, but I can't be responsible for what happens on your bench.

The words and photos are mine

The writing, the measurements and the photos on this site are my own work. Quote a line with a link back and you're welcome to it - that's how the web is meant to work. Lifting a whole article or a set of images to republish elsewhere isn't on, so ask first. Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their makers, not to me.

Links to other sites

I link out to shops, manufacturers, forums and the odd video. Once you've left this site you're on theirs, under their terms and their privacy rules, and I've no control over what they publish or how they behave. A link isn't an endorsement of everything on the far end of it.

These terms can change

Hardware moves, the site grows, and I'll tidy this page when it needs it. There's no grand announcement - the current version is whatever's here when you read it, so glance back if it matters to you.
